At the beginning of the eighteenth century, all the commune of Pauillac was planted of grapevines. Milon wines were considered as "second wines" of Château Lafite. Lafite was at that time owned by Marquis Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur, also called "Prince of grapevines" by Louis XV.
Today, wine storehouses have been renovated and all efforts that have been made for 40 years, contributed to put Château Duhart-Milon at the fourth range of Medoc classified Cru. Vintages 1986, 1990, 1995, 1996, 2000 and others are rich.
