With calm but firm determination, Marie-Laure Lurton, from the winemaking dynasty of the same name, aims to secure pride of place for this growth located on 15 hectares in the commune of Avensan. Classed "Exceptional" in the 1932 classification of bourgeois growths, the 2001 vintage certainly lives up to this designation.
Naturally Bordeaux in colour, the wine has an elegant, classically rich character with fine woody notes. Supple on the palate, it is both seductive and delicate. This Haut-Médoc sets the tone for the vintage...and that tone is excellent.
