IL This customer review is about : "CHÂTEAU BASTOR LAMONTAGNE 1985"

Ce vin blanc liquoreux à la couleur or est exquis pour accompagner les desserts ou à l'apéritif, excellent !!!

Up till 1711, the Bastor-Lamontagne estate belonged to the king of France. The real wine-producing era for this growth began in 1839, thanks to the Larrieu family and most particularly Amédée Larrieu, who was at the time the owner of Château Haut-Brion in Pessac, who purchased the property of Bastor-Lamontagne. On a area of 56 hectares, the estate is composed of 78% sémillion and 22% sauvignon.

''We don’t make collectors’ wines, we make wines for consumers, wines for drinking!''.
As Alain Pivonet, winemaker at Bastor-Lamontagne , says, the major concern of the estate is to satisfy the consumer. It's why Bastor-Lamontagne's wines always had a particular style, subtil and fresh, which favors fruit harmony and equilibrium instead of concentration.
