Opening a bottle of Armagnac can be an emotional experience as we nostalgically recall events from the year on the label. Produced from different grape varieties cultivated in the Gers region of France, the brandy is patiently distilled in golden copper stills then carefully blended to preserve the uniqueness of that particular vintage. Ageing in casks made from Limousin or Monlezun black oak gives the brandy its body, flavour and rich golden-brown colour. Once Armagnac is transferred to the bottle, it stops ageing and should be stored vertically to prevent the brandy interacting with the cork. Vintage Armagnac is a real treat!
