Description of this Port

The wines that will make the Tawny 40 y.o. are the ones presenting a very good ageing potential thanks to their concentration and aromatic complexity.
Maturing is done in the traditional 550 liters "pipas" and in 220 liters barrels.
The robe is very matured.
The nose is very intense and very complexe: coffee, toffee, honey, spices, orange zest and dried fruits. The mouth is incredubly full with a long fruity finale.
Revista de Vinhos quotation: 18 It was awarded as one of the best Port tasted in 2002.
