Description of this Champagne

1985 will stay in memories as unique thanks to the exceptional January frost. This has of course given low yields but the harvest was from a rare quality with a fantastic balance.
The blend is different according to the qualities of the vintage. It counts 25 to 30 wines made from the 3 vine-varieties used in the Champagne appellation and 15 to 20 growths with different characters.
The Krug Collection 85 is perfectly well-balanced and it has evolved into a rich and intense, but fresh and lively Champagne. The robe is deep gold and the nose is very aromatic with truffle, fig and blackcurrant aromas with a hint of spices.
