Description of this Burgundy

In the south of Puligny-Montrachet, a small area of Remigny has the right to call itself part of the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation. The white grape vines are cultivated in a limestone and brown clay soil which produces a wine much sought-after all over the world. A wonderful introduction to the great Montrachet.

The pale, brilliant, golden colour of this Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Benoites" offers a delicate and fruity bouquet, full of minerals.
In the mouth,it has an opulence and complexity demonstrating that it has been made into a great wine, with notes of minerals and lemons.
Aged in French oak barrels (35 % of new barrels - origin Allier) and cultivated in fine sediment for 11 months, this Chassagne Montrachet is a very good example of the know-how and expertise of the house of Jean Chartron.
