Description of this Crozes Hermitage

The Crozes-Hermitage 2007 of Guigal stems from 35 year old grapevines.
The wine has a deep dark coloured robe and cherry, strawberry and woody aromas at the nose.
In the mouth, there are beautiful tannins with hints of vanilla and blackcurrant aromas. The wine has a remarkable freshness to it due to the nice tannic structure.
The Crozes-Hermitage are generally solid wines which must be accompanied by dishes who must also be "solid"!
