Burgundy Chambertin Grand Cru France Hallmark of tradition
Not available 1 Bottle
In the centre of the Côte de Nuits appellation, Jacques Rossignol and his sons cultivate Pinot Noir grapes on a small two hectare plot in the Chambertin Grand Cru region. Nine generations of winemakers have toiled these famous soils, producing some of the best Burgundy in the world. The 1999 vintage displays aromas of blackberries and cherry jam blended with smoky, liquorice aromas. Lively and full bodied, the wine has powerful flavour and length, coupled with exquisite balance and tannic structure. A few years in the cellar will produce richer, deeper, earthier notes but this grand cru is delicious now with its ripe, fruity flavour and exquisite texture.
