Description of this Côte Rôtie

This cuvée comes from the "Côte Brune" (schists with silty zone with a lot of pebbles dating from the ice age period) and the "Côte Blonde" (the soil is here paler due to silicious and chalky deposits dating from the ice age period) of the Côte-Rôtie appellation.
It is matured in oak barrels, of which a third are new barrels.
The robe is deep and purple. The nose is intense with strawberry, spices and liquorice aromas.
