Description of this Corton Charlemagne

This wine is made with parcels situated at the North of the Côte de Beaune with a geology that is very different from the "Montrachet". It is produced on Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix-Serrigny hamlets.
This great Burgundian terroir owes its reputation to Charlemagne which ordered to plant a great part of the domaine with vines. He then offered them to the Saulieu Abbey in 775.
The Corton-Charlemagne wine is very complexe thanks to blend of vines coming from 3 different hamlets.
Those wines do age very well, giving mineral and honey aromas when old. They deserve 5 years of ageing minimum to reveal their full character.
Production area: 57ha
