The heart of Saint-Julien

For many years Talbot and Gruaud-Larose were considered as the Bordeaux twins due to their proximity and both being a part of the Cordier stable. Today Gruaud has gone its own way, while Talbot belongs to the worthy heirs of the great Jean Cordier. The elegance of this growth made each year with integrity and severity has long made it one of Bordeaux's great classified growths. An almost military rigour is in evidence at this property, which is named in honour of Connétable Talbot, an English general. A love of work well done is reflected in the wine, straight and true to the solid accents of the Saint-Julien terroir, of which it is the heart.
