Château Phélan-Ségur : The Médoc's great lord

Phélan Ségur's vineyard was created in the prestigious commune of Saint-Estèphe at the beginning of the 19th century by Monsieur Phélan, originally from Ireland. Thirty-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot vines are planted on 66 hectares of gravel that overlook the Gironde estuary. A cru bourgeois of great renown, Phélan Ségur produces red wines of sublime colour and rich red-fruit, spice and liquorice aromas. Round, mouth-filling, with supple tannins, this is a Saint-Estèphe in the finest tradition, vinified by the Gardinier family.
