Description of this Saint-Estèphe

Mr. Phélan was a wine-grower of Irish origin. He created the St. Estèphe , in the early 19th century in St. Estèphe in the Phélan Ségur 2009 . The vineyard extends on 66 hectares and is planted with serious , Cabernet Sauvignons , Cabernet Francs and Merlots , aged 30 years in average and located on the hills overlooking the estuary. This Cru Bourgeois is very well known and this Phélan Ségur 2007 is beautifully red coloured with sublime fruit flavours. Spices and liquorice are also present. It is round with fleshy soft tannins. This is a Saint-Estèphe in the purest tradition which chairs the Gardinier family dynamics.
