Bordeaux Saint-Julien France On the perron of Saint-Julien

Description of this Saint-Julien

Three wines with the name of Léoville exist in the Saint-Julien appellation which resulted from the division of an immense property. The Irish family Barton acquired this estate in 1836 and are still owning it. The château has preserved both the Léoville name and the style. This is shown with the 1994 vintage: silky, thick, ruby with oily reflections, this wine expresses gamey notes while maintaining its fruit. Showing finesse and character, it is easily accessible, moderately full-bodied, and very well balanced.
