Description of this Pauillac

Characterised by steeply sloping gravel outcrops, Lafite's terroir is the most impressive in all Pauillac. The vines are marvellously tended and the Château itself is sumptuous. As for the wine, one can only pay homage, since it is the veritable model for all of its peers. Well-coloured, full-bodied, it contains a treasure chest of fruits: fresh fruits, blueberries, blackcurrant syrup, all of which are complemented by torrefaction notes, Arabic coffee, toasted bread, and mocha. In the mouth, this wine caresses the palate with a dense, immense tannic structure that is both supple and intense. A legendary wine.
