89-91 Wine Spectator
The expressive bouquet of this 2005 vintage releases aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and notes of leather.
It circulates harmoniously in the mouth.
Its supple and elegant tannins establish themselves well and merge into the nicely rounded mellowness of the wine.
The racy structure gives a lovely length in mouth, and has a fresh finish.
This wine is very promising and respectfully defends the colours of the Crus Bourgeois Supérieurs of the Margaux appellation.
"In fact, it is the finesse of its tannins which best characterise this vintage of Château Labégorce, a sign that it will mature very well. This wine is powerful, balanced, has a lovely freshness, and its aromatic bouquet will be explode onto the palate. Its silky texture is signature of a real Margaux -" Extract from the Carnet of Florent Granier, Director of Labégorce.
