In a small valley on the right bank of the Loire overlooking the river, stands the Château de Tracy, home to some of the best Pouilly-Fumé in the region. Tracy wines derive their minerally flavours from flint deposits in the soil and their beautiful bouquet from the temperate climate, where the grapes ripen more slowly than in warmer regions. Sauvignon Blanc really comes into its own under these conditions and produces these Château de Tracy wines - superb and fresh when young, evolving delicious, riper flavours with truffly notes as they mature. Sauvignon Blanc at its best.
