CHÂTEAU COUTET

Château Coutet is one of the oldest domain in Bordeaux, since it has been created in 1643 by Charles le Guérin. In 1977, Marcel Baly owned it and started to renovate. Today two of his sons go on cultivating the domain of 38.5 hectares.
The soil of Château Coutet is clayey and chalky. The vineyard is composed at 75% of Sémillon, 23 % Sauvignon and 2 % Muscadelle and is 35 years old. Wine is raised for 16 to 18 months in barrel and for 80% in new wooden barrel.
