The admiral of the Médoc

Many legends surround Château Beychevelle. Its view of the river is as classic as its wine, a true admiral of the Médoc. The vineyard's polished stones of brown gravel encourage the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to ripen fully. These vines are the subject of honours that were formerly shown to the Château and its impeccable gardens by passing ships that lowered their sails. Today the French bank Crédit-Foncier navigates this vessel through the tempests of difficult vintages, where even in such circumstances the wine remains great. When the winds are favourable, the results are legendary.
