Description of this Rasteau

A few kilometres away from Dentelles de Montmirail, is vineyard Rasteau one of the most important one. It is there that Maison Chapoutier is producing an exceptionnal wine...
The grapes are fully de-stemmed and the vatting lasts 15 to 21 days with 2 pumping over the cap a day. The maturing lasts 12 to 16 months into oak barrels and vats followed by the blending and the bottling.

Chapoutier Rasteau 2009 has a deep garnet-red robe and is full of fruits aromas (gooseberry, blackcurrant and raspberry). The nose is rich and the palate is generous and well-structured.
