Description of this Champagne
The Pol Roger House, one of the last independant ones, treats itself to luxury with an exemplary qualitative regularity.
Qualified by Churchill as: « the world's most drinkable address ». The Pol Roger house offers a complete selection of champagnes marked by the force and elegance if its style.
The 1998 vintage is impressive by its balance between strength and delicacy. Matured 7 years in cellars, composed of 20 grands and premiers crus of the Montagne de Reims, of the Grande Vallée of the Marne and of the Côte des Blancs, this vintage is of a great sensuality.
The bright golden colour predicts a wonderful effervescence. The nose is subtle with hints of ripe and dried fruits, nougat and hot butter aromas.
With evolution, will appear a few grilled and toasted notes. The final is long, fresh and of a great vividness which makes the pleasure last.
