Winemakers from the Côte Chalonnaise, north of Chalon sur Saône are passionate about their art and their wines reflect this dedication.
This area, which produces roughly equal quantities of red and white wine, is known for its medium-bodied, easy drinking cuvées. Try Aligoté from Bouzeron made from Burgundy's native Aligoté grape or classic Pinot-Noir and Chardonnay produced in the region's beautiful undulating vineyards. Full, fresh and clean-tasting, wines from Mercurey, Rully, Givry or Montagny are full of Burgundy sunshine and certainly worth a detour. Enjoyable and accessible, the wines of Southern Burgundy await you!
