Armagnac
The name Armagnac dates back to the Roman conquest of Gaul, while the first known distillation of Armagnac was back in 1411. Today, Armagnac is produced in the Gers and Landes regions of South West France. Bas Armagnac, in the Western part of the region, is home to Château de Laubade. This delicate, fruity liqueur is made by distilling white grapes, Baco, Colombard, Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc, cultivated on a range of different terroirs. Each batch is distilled separately in a burnished copper still, then carefully blended to preserve the uniqueness of each vintage. Constantly in search of the most delicious and aromatic blend, Laubade presents us here with more than 70 legendary Armagnacs.
