Gold from the Rhine !

Neglected for many years, German viticulture is experiencing a renaissance. While Germany's renowned sweet whites have always ranked among the world's best, last Century saw her great dry whites make a comeback, with Riesling, arguably the world's most aristocratic white variety, leading the pack. The Moselle and Rhine River Valley vineyards, epicentre of German wine production, produce crisp, firm, minerally wines with sensational flavours. Pfalz Riesling is plump and full bodied, while the Liebfrauenstift vineyard at Worms, once famed for its exceptional wines has made an exciting comeback. Watch out too for some exciting German reds.
