First vineyards in the Iberian Peninsula were introduced through the cost of Alicante by the earliest civilizations. From there, they were spread along Vinalopo area (wine river) setting up one of the most important wine areas for centuries.
Nowadays, Alicante Denominacion de Origen, which celebrates its 75th anniversary (one of the oldest in Spain), counts on the highest production of Monastrell within the Region and it is supported by the existence of some other grape varieties that have contributed to the rebirth and improvement of the area.
Intense red morello cherry. It shows scrubland notes in nose with an intense fresh fruit back and mineral touches. The wood is well integrated. It is dense, silky and long in mouth.
